Detailed Information

The Gujarat Subordinate Service Selection Board (GSSSB), Gandhinagar has released a detailed notification for direct recruitment to the post of Dietitian, Class-III under the Medical Education Wing controlled by the Health & Family Welfare Department, Government of Gujarat.

4. Educational Qualification

Candidates must possess:

  • Master’s Degree (M.Sc.) in any of the following from a recognised University:
    • Home Science
    • Food & Nutrition
    • Nutrition and Dietetics
    • Food Science & Nutrition
    • Food Service Management & Dietetics
    • Clinical Nutrition
  • Basic knowledge of Computer Applications as per Gujarat Civil Services Rules
  • Adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi or both

5. Age Limit (as on 26/01/2026)

  • Minimum Age: 18 Years
  • Maximum Age: 37 Years

Age Relaxation

  • General Female: 5 Years
  • Reserved Category Male: 5 Years
  • Reserved Category Female: 10 Years
  • PwD: Up to 20 Years (Maximum age 45)
  • Ex-Serviceman: Service period + 3 years

6. Salary / Pay Scale

Selected candidates will be appointed on a fixed pay of ₹40,800 per month for the first 5 years.

After successful completion of 5 years and subject to satisfactory service, regular appointment will be given in Pay Level-6 (₹35,400 – ₹1,12,400) as per 7th Pay Commission.

Part A (90 Marks)

  • Logical Reasoning & Data Interpretation – 30
  • Quantitative Aptitude – 30
  • Constitution, Current Affairs, English & Gujarati Comprehension – 30

Part B (120 Marks)

  • Subject-related questions (Dietitian syllabus)

Negative Marking: 0.25 marks deducted for each wrong answer.
